Inle Lake was my last destination in Myanmar. And after waking up almost every morning before sunrise, I was slightly exhausted. So I decided to take it easy for the last couple of days. My plan was to ride a bicycle around the lake and drink some average Burmese wine.
The biggest advantage of this lifestyle is the freedom. Not to have to rush and go back to work on Monday, to take my time and to plan only for the next 3 days. Also, there is no better place than in SE Asia to do that. That was exactly what I thought before I started travelling.

Before travelling to Myanmar, the only place I wanted to see was Bagan. So the hype was high for this place. I knew I was going to wake up every morning and go on top of a temple way before sunrise to try to take a classic Bagan picture, the one with the hot air balloon over the temples and pagodas.
Life in Yangon starts right before sunrise until just after sunset and during the night, not much happens. That is probably what I prefer about Yangon and in Myanmar in General.
After travelling in Asia for a few months, I had seen enough pagoda and temples for my entire life but by visiting Myanmar (Burma) I couldn’t avoid them. Especially while the main attraction of Yangon was Shwedagon pagoda.
