Dear London,

I’m writing today to let you know that I’m leaving you. We met a couple of times, the first ones were short but always intense and passionate. Obviously, I didn’t know much about you but I fell in love. In love with your bustling streets, your incredible little cafés and your aptitude to always surprise me with your unexpected inhabitants. That are some of the reasons I wanted to be with you.

Lately, I started doubting. Even though, we moved in together a year and a half ago. The more I was travelling and the more I felt the need to see the world. I know what you’re going to say: there is a little world in you, Chinatown when I miss my parents’ food, Angel to hear down under accent and Canary Wharf to realise that the only limit is the sky. You show me samples of the world and now I want to see more. You gave me the passion of discovering new people, new culture and not fear the unknown.

Of course, I can’t avoid you forever and for sure, one day I will be back. Back with more stories, more experienced and well prepared to live with you again maybe.

London you have been great with me and before leaving I’d like to thank you. I’ve learnt so much with you and you definitely changed who I am. You’ll always be important for me, Thank you. It’s time to step into a new adventure and as you usually say: “mind the gap”.
